Practical preparation
Documents, translations and apostille: prepare your evidence
A method to connect work, income and documents without copying another country's checklist.
Nomad Hub editorial team · Editorial update:
A list for your pathway, not every journey
Start with country, application channel and each document's origin. Separate identification, work, funds, criminal records and cover. Put the official requirement in one column and your document in another. Having a file is not the same as proving what the authority asks.
For income, connect contract, invoice or payslip and corresponding payment. Record period, currency and any differences. This organisation is a preparation suggestion, not a promise that a format or platform will be accepted.
Remote work needs evidence too
Spanish law distinguishes employment from professional relationships and requires remote-work evidence. Croatia describes contract, statement and foreign-company documentation by profile. Use that distinction when requesting evidence reflecting the real relationship from your employer or client.
Translation and legalisation are different tasks
Check accepted language, who may translate, whether apostille or legalisation is required and the order. Instructions depend on document and issuing country. Before paying for translation, ask whether it covers the version and formality your destination authority requires.
A folder that makes the story traceable
Name files by type, period and version. Keep originals, translations and legalisations connected and maintain a missing-items list. For initial consultations, share only what is needed through the channel agreed with your professional. Nomad Hub does not receive passports or banking documents.
